Three easy steps to help you take control of healthcare costs.

It is a brand new year, and for many of us, that means starting payments against a brand new insurance year. Health care prices might cause sticker-shock for some who have higher deductibles.

However, the beginning of the year is actually the perfect time to tackle your deductible. The sooner you meet it, the more services you can have throughout the year at a lower cost. It is a proactive approach to meeting your yearly health care needs.

At Teton Therapy, we understand that many people may need some help navigating how to approach high healthcare costs. Here are three tips to help relieve some of the financial barriers you might have to seeking medical care:

1. Discuss costs right away.
We understand talking about money can be uncomfortable for a lot of people. However, we know that the cost of healthcare is a big deal to almost everyone. Once these barriers are discussed, our patients can focus 100% on their treatment. This can get you better faster. We don’t want our patients to fall off of their treatment plan or to avoid seeking physical or occupational therapy in the future because they are afraid of the cost.

2. Know the details of your insurance plan.
Do you have a deductible, copay, coinsurance? How much is your deductible and coinsurance? What exactly are you responsible for? If you are confused or don’t know how to find this information, reach out to us. Our experts would love to help you navigate the sometimes overwhelming world of insurance.

3. Ask us for help
You may feel like the only one who is overwhelmed by the price of healthcare, but trust us–you are not. Plenty of people are dealing with the same issues, so don’t be afraid to reach out to us. We have an in-house billing team who are all extremely dedicated and savvy; they are standing by to help you. They will help you figure out a way to pay for your treatment so that you don’t have to choose between living in pain or paying for therapy. You can always bring up your questions and concerns to your therapist, front office coordinator, or patient representative, and they will relay these them to our billing team.

Our priority at Teton Therapy is getting you healthier. We want to be a partner in your healthcare decisions. We are here to help, so give us a call!
